This tour to promote her second studio album "The Fame Monster" is described by Gaga as "the first-ever pop electro opera". The Monster Ball began four days after the album release of The Fame Monster. Rapper Kid Cudi and singer Jason DeRulo are opening acts for the American stops of the tour, while the band Alphabeat will support the UK tour dates.
